The tourist office, 60 rue Constant Ragot (tel 02.54.75.22.85) is just off the car-park-like place President Wilson, in the upper part of town. The only two hotels are both alongside the river, on either side of the bridge: Hôtel du Moulin, 7 rue Novilliers (tel 02.54.75.15.54; under €30; closed Sun), is fairly basic but friendly; while Le Grand Hôtel St-Aignan, 79 quai J.-J.-Delorme (tel 02.54.75.18.04, grand.hotel.st.aignan@wanadoo.fr; €4055; NovMarch closed Sun evening) is a hushed, well-furnished affair, with a good restaurant (menus €1532.50). St-Aignan has an excellent campsite on the bank of the river near Seigy, the Camping des Cochards (tel 02.54.75.15.59; April to mid-Oct). For an alternative to the hotel restaurants, the extremely welcoming L'Amarena, place de la Paix (tel 02.54.75.47.98, closed Mon lunch) serves inexpensive Italian food on an attractive square.DHTML Menu By Milonic JavaScript |
